Assessment Process
Designing your Assessment
In a mental capacity assessment, questions play a key role in helping us to gather evidence of the 4 functional elements of decision making.
Based on questions designed by mental capacity assessors, questions related to each decision that ask about: factual knowledge, awareness, insight, foresight, concerns and experiences, have been useful in eliciting responses that guide assessments of mental capacity.
The content included in this page are made up of a collection of experiences by mental capacity assessors. Some of them are built with fellow assessors at learning events. Contact us to find out about an upcoming learning event!
